Default Seven days of salad!!!

I have been doing Atkins for seven days now, today is the eigth..
My first week done.

I have had salad seven days in a row! This is more salad that I have had in probably at least the last year or more!!
WOW! and it is doable and eatable and I don't feel like I am forcing myself to do something I don't want to do.
I am amazed and feel really good about this.

Even spending the weekend with parents and family (one of the places I learned my eating habits...) I managed to stay on the plan. This feels really good.

Late Sat night, after a 13 hour day, and not being able to sleep, it was about 3 am and I wanted to binge, oh, I wanted carbs, so I went downstairs to the kitchen I grew up in, got out a can of Diet rite (a treat for the weekend) and 2 low carb bars, and some olives, and that was enough to allow me to relax and get to sleep. I had also been too low on food and carbs that day. I should have eaten more!

So, it was a good solution to the stress and the carb cravings. maybe not the best, but better than bingeing on chips and cookies. and my mother makes these homemade chocolate chip cookies with pecans or black walnuts in them that are to die for!!!

Better yet! this morning I hate half a low carb bar and found it was TOO sweet

who'd a thunk it!?!?
the biggest thing I have to remember to do to keep cravings at bay is to eat enough at regular enough intervals.

Thanks for all the encouragement!

Rena

Congrats on getting your veggies in. Important for body functions. My weakest thing is getting my veggies in. I have to make an effort to get all the good stuff in.

If the LC bars stall your weight loss try an egg or some cheese as a late night snack.

I have had salad every day for the past 2 months.. I vary it alot by putting grilled chicken on it or tuna.. sometimes some salami pieces... sliced hard boiled egg.. but basically it is still salad.. I also vary the kinds of lettuce and add other fresh veggies too.. I change dressings too to help give it a different taste.. so it doesn't get so boring..
