Question Slow Weight Loss

Hi,

I'm new to the board. I've been sort of a wall flower -- reading all the threads and educating myself for the past month. I started Atkins October 2, 2003 and I've only lost 3lbs. But my clothes are clearly looser. I have a few questions:

1. Is it possible to loose more inches than pounds?

2. Why is my weight loss so slow? I'm taking Dieter's Advantage and Basic 3 by Atkins. My calores are pretty high -- about 3,000 plus per day. I just started a journal in Fitday so that I an try the 65% Fat; 30% Protein and 5% carb ratio.

3. Could my Atkins supplements be slowing my weight loss?

Today is my first day back on induction. I plan to cut out all processed foods, cheese, cream, decaffienated coffee and drop my calorie intake to about 2,000. Any other tips and/or suggestions.

Thanks in advance.
