Default It's been awhile !!

I havnt posted in awhile and thought I should come here and read and get some inspiration!!!
Well alot has been happening in my life the past few month's. My sweeet mother passed away Nov 25th so it has been a rough time for me lately. My husband returned to work after his time off for my mom's death only to find out that after 22 year's they are closing the doors and giving the employee's their packages. Can you say STRESSSSSSSS
I thought this would be my breaking point and Id blow all I had accomplished in the weight loss department as my defence for major stress has always been food or should I say CARB LADEN FOODS!!!!
I had 2 horrible days full of sweet's and junk and felt horrible not only emotionally but physically as well. I woke up both morning's after the sweets and junk feeling like I was hung over and remembered that feeling from my pre-atkins days or I should say YEARS!!!
Falling off the low carb wagon for me is so not worth the consequences. I have begun to realize that it really isint worth it to indulge in sugar laden foods as it really makes me feel bad and getting myself back to a low carb diet is so tough. I explained it to my sister like being a drug addict and not having the drug for so long and then using. I really think it take's our bodies out of wack and so hard to get over the cravings again.
I was very lucky as I didint gain any weight in my 2 day binge. I have officially dropped 70 pounds as of yesterday!!!!!
Hope all is well with everyone here and have a great day

So sorry for your very very difficult times -- but more power to you for getting out of you self-destruct mode so quickly, and a big pat on the back for the 70 POUND milestone!

Moni

Congrats on the 70 pounds. WOW your stress is thru the roof right now. You should be very proud of yourself for recognizing your stress eating and being strong enough to say NO, I don't want to do this to myself. I am very proud of you.

FYI: I find exercise helps me destress and when I work out, I usually don't want the high carb foods. (notice the word usually!)

You are in my thoughts and prayers

Wow, congrats on the 70 pound loss. That's a great milestone. I understand about stresses as my dad died in the past year (and both my dogs) and I was laid off from my job of many years when the company decided they could to it more cheaply with a 20-something tech school graduate in Bangalore, India.

But you are right! Falling off the LC bandwagon only makes things worse, not only physically, but emotionally as well. Staying on track is the best thing you can do for yourself. You have made great progress so far, and good luck with 2011.
