Default Carbs or Empty Stomach

I go to the gym at 6 a.m. Monday - Friday. I do some cardio, treadmill or stairmaster and then the circuit and some weights.

From what I gather I should be doing cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and I should be eating some carbs before doing weights, therefore should I eat carbs before leaving for the gym and do weights first to use up carbs and then do cardio? Or should I alternate cardio one day and weights the next?

How long should I eat before doing weights.

Any Advice?

Better off eating some carbs "after" the weights. This will help maintain a good hormonal balance and speed recovery time. I had some trouble when I went back to weights on the Atkins diet, but now I eat 20g carbs after the workout and am doing much better.

I personally opt for the post workout insulin spike so I drink 15g worth of powerade after cardio and another 15 after weights followed by my protein shake. I do empty stomach morning workouts which consist of 20MAS followed by 1hr weights. BUT I take aminos, glutamine, and an ECA to combat catabolism before I even go.
