Default Ideal Ratios for Fat/Carb/Protein?

I've got a question for you...what is that magic ratio of Fat/Carb/Protein that I should hit when I run my food through Fitday?

I've been low carbing since January, but I'm stalled out right now. Let's just blame all that fresh fruit in season. So I'm back to strict Induction to shake things up and get the scale moving again.

I'm so close to goal, but I'm not getting any closer by eating cherries.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Isa

First off - don't forget a stall is over 4 weeks of no lbs OR inches lost.

Now.... recommended by positive results on the forum are 65% fat/30% protein/ 5% carbs

Thanks so much! Hope you're enjoying your summer. How's pre-maintenance going for you?

Love it. Still not losing lbs (LOL!!!) but feel great and getting many compliments because still working out and losing inches. No big weight gains, no cravings.... just taking it slow.

The 65% fat is good for induction, but as close as you are to goal you really should be moving through OWL and Premaintanance by now. The closer you are to goal the longer it takes to lose, and the more exercise will help. You might find that upping your carbs with healthy veggies and fruit may actually kick start things and help with the trimming down. Keep your protien at 30%, and slowly start upping your carbs. Find your carb tolerence level before you reach your goal and maintanance to help from gaining it all back.

Atkins stated the Zon'e 30-30-40 ratio was close to what Atkins maintanance was. I think it's so individualized though that it's not that cut and dry. Some people feel most comfortable staying 20-30g of carbs, and others can do over 80 without gaining.

Thanks for your help ladybelle. You're right...I really needed to reread the book and understand that in order to get to my goal AND keep the pounds off I have to go through the Pre-Maintenance phase. It's supposed to go really slowly at the end, isn't it. Well ok. I've trusted the process so far; I'll keep trusting it. Boy it's taken a long time to take off these pounds! But at least they're coming off.

Thanks again.
