Has anyone changed over from atkins to fat flush plan and how did you get on

reason for doing so is to try and incorporate more fruit and veg .

Sure
It can be done. You have to watch the fruit though. A lot of people react to it, a few don't. If you get cravings, you'll have to stop or modify the plan. I modified the plan. There are people on the board on it now. Me, Amberaa1, and Need2bthi2. Doreen has been on it at times also. The lc modified plan is here.

Good Luck!!

Hi MaryG,

I would suggest you stick to the "book" version of Gittleman's Fat Flush, rather than someone else's version, however well intentioned. The original plan is LC, so there is no need to modify it.

I can understand your wanting more fruit and veg, however I hope you realise you can actually have lots of vegies on Atkins, not just 2 cups salad and 1 cup "other" veg.

Do you use www.fitday.com to work out your vegie carbs?

I easily eat 6 or 7 cups of vegies a day and still have to work at keeping my carbs up.
A while ago I worked out how much I could eat while staying on Induction levels.

Here's an example of what you can have:
2 cups lettuce - remember iceberg lettuce has fewer nutrients than lettuces such as romaine - the ones with darker leaves are generally better.
½ cup peppers
½ cup cucumber
1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 cup broccoli
1 cup asparagus
1 cup cauliflower
2 fluid ounces heavy cream

According to Fitday, this gives you a total of 31g carbs, 12g fibre - making a total of only 19 useable carbs

HTH!

Rosebud

Gee Rosebud, thanks for posting that, it looks quite different, when you see it all listed like that.
Cheers Kathy
