Default Diabetics: What's your BS

HI, I have been diagnosed with Diabetes for the past year and since finding Atkins this is the first time I have been able to keep my BS under control. Do you find that if you keep under a certain BS level you lose weight? For myself I have noticed that if I keep my bs under 140 I can lose, but much above that and I stall.
Do you try and eat the low GI (Glycemic Index) way? I have been looking more into low GI method of eating along with low carb. It seems to be a kicker way to go.

I was 130 this morning which is high for me but then I have not been doing well oif late back on induction this morning as well. When I was first starting I was on three meds. and my sugar kept droping so I was taken off of glucotrol sugars went up slightly and weight loss slowed a lot. Don't know what the relationship is .It is a struggle but what isn't?

Acording to my doc as a diabetic you can not lose unless your sugars are in control. Your body will store anything it can and convert it into sugar. I belive she is right cause man when I started this thing I have never been better. My fasting sugars are from 89- 120 and my day to day sugars dont go over 120 i have however had a few lower than 60 and for that I had my dose of Glyburide lowered. YEAHHHHOOOO for me. Well on my way to being diet controled! Anyhow not only does the weight come off with the sugars under control the way you feel. OMG no more feeling like im in a washer machine! No headaches, no dizzy spells nothin. Life is good!
