Talking Went shopping today!!

So I found myself jumping up and down, pumping my fists in the air, yelling "woohoo" in the Bon/Macy's today because I tried on, and fit into, a very form fitting sweater, long leather jacket, and city-stretch pants one size smaller than what I've worn for years (size 20 instead of 22!). Of course I bought them, had to commemorate the occasion!

I can't beleive that I was once so frustrated I wanted to quit! All of you struggling in the first month or so -- IT WILL HAPPEN! STICK WITH IT! I'm sold for life now.

Athena

YAY!!! What a great experience! Thanks so much for sharing it! I can't wait for my "first" shopping experience... I'm going to wait till I meet my goal, though, in the meantime I'm frequenting the 2nd hand store.. I don't want to spend too much if I'm just gonna "undergrow" it... you know?

Gotta think positive!!!!

WAY TO GO!
Blessings!

Yes, Shaerat, I do know what you mean. I could have gone crazy yesterday, but I limited myself to just the one outfit (I figure the jacket will still look good when I've reached goal). Problem is I have to go back to work at the end of this week -- standing in front of 50 skinny, slightly judgemental 18-22 year olds every day, so I need clothes that fit better now. I do hate spending money on clothes that I may not need to wear in a few more months. Holy smokes!! That thought has never crossed my mind before! My worries had always been about outgrowing clothes! Here we go again.... YIPPEEE!!

i am too chicken to go shopping. .. I squeesed into my clothes towards the end there and so I am unsure what size to take into the dressing room and I would hate to not fit into something. . .redawn
