Default another day, another whine!

Its me again-the whiner!

Still hanging in there as I approach the end of my 4th week on Atkins with NO LOSS!

We are going out of town this weekend and I hope and pray I stay on it. I really want to but my confidence and hope are dwindling as the scale stands solid. All I need is a small push(like vacation food) and Ill be over the edge cheating.

Im trying to keep my carbs at about 5 grams per meal (give or take). Im drinking MORE than 60 oz of tap water every day and am doing really well with almost no cravings. Even spelling ATKINS correctly hasnt helped!!

whoa is me! Maybe someday I'll post without whining!! Thanks for listing to this Atkins-resistant poor sole! L

Have you tried the fat fast yet? You may be metabolically resistant and need the push. There are plenty of links about it under "tips and stalls" and a section in your Atkins book. Can also find it at the Atkins site. It's only meant for 4-5 days, but will get the most stubborn body into ketosis. Good luck!

No-do you do fitday? I know several members like going through your meals, exercise, etc. My guess is calories. Most say calories don't matter much-or suggest eating more, but I lose more when I stay between 1200-1800/day and keep fat % up. It's worth a try. You have got to be horribly frustrated. Bummer.

I feel bad for you.
The fat fast may give you that kick start you need. I've never tried it myself.
Other suggestions: Try doubling your water, can't hurt. And try not to eat anything with sodium or nitrates. I know it affects me.
Can you try not stepping on the scale for at least a week.

another suggstion is to email atkins and tell them what is going on, maybe they have a suggestion.

First start a fitday so we can all check you for 'hidden carbs.' It will really enable all the members here to give you some solid advice.

Second, you really should be drinking atleast 100ozs of water every day. I have noticed that if I don't drink enough water, my weight loss slows or even stops for a few days.

Just my 2cents.

Have you tried different keto strips? When I first started Atkins I thought I was in ketosis since the sticks turned purple, however I was not losing. Well, my 9yr. old son tried one and he was in ketosis! I made my dh try one, and him too! I even dipped one in the cats litter box.... yup even the stupid cat was in ketosis!
I went out and bought new ketostix, and None of us were in ketosis. Did a very strict induction and lost 2lbs.
Lots of luck!

cheers,
Judi

OH, and I hate to sound uncooperative but I did try fitday but found it very time consuming and had a lot of conflicting information.
So far today a 3 egg omlet with 1oz cream cheese and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream.
1 coffee with 1 table spoon heavy cream
2 cups garden salad with peparoni in it and 1 carb salad dsg.
and water, water, water.
dinner pending.

I think you need some more fat with your food. Like mayo, some more meat maybe , cheese, olive oil .
