Question Caffeine Withdrawl

Maybe I'm trying to do too much at once, I don't know... but I'm having a heck of a time this weekend with caffeine withdrawl. Can't stay awake, can't sleep. Headaches. Broke down and made myself a nice tall extra strong coffee this afternoon and now I feel GREAT lol.

Are there any suggestions for caffeine that I should know about? I have seen the ambiguous research and thought I would just take it out of my diet to be *sure*. But maybe it's not going to be that easy. Good news is I don't drink carbonated beverages, just strong hot coffee. BTW using heavy cream instead of skim milk just makes it ~delish~.

Oh! And for all those who helped with the first couple days' carb cravings, I am over the worst of them. Thanks for the encouragement to push through, they really didn't last very long after all.

I am just being able to see avatars for the first time in quite some time - love the kitty!

Caffiene can cause insulin responses in some people. If you still like to get rid of it, try mixing your regular coffee with a little decaf and gradually reducing it from there.

For me, I'm glad I gave up caffiene - don't know if it has helped in the weight loss deparment, but I also don't like feeling dependant upon it either.

I do the half and half thing with my coffee. It doesn't taste much different and gives me the boost I need. I use half Columbian naturally decaffeinated grind and half Community Medium Roast grind. No one has said anything YET. LOL. If you haven't tried Community Coffee from LA you are in for a treat. It is the best ground coffee I have ever tasted. You can order online at www.communitycoffee.com. Or maybe a grocer carries it where you are. None here in Va. Beach. My daughter brings a suitcase of it home from college 3 times a year.
