I have been on the Atkins diet since Jan 5, and have not cheated even once. I have been in ketosis since Jan 7, and luckly only experienced only minor discomfort during the first couple of days. I feel my apetite toward food have decreased, but the scale still reads the same. Here are some of the food that I typically eat.
breakfast, a slice of 3 carb bread with butter.
lunch, salad with 1/4 cup of cheese and bacon or a boiled egg. Some kind of grill meat such as pork tenderloin or chicken.
dinner, grill salmon, sausage, chicken, or steak with blue cheese. For vege, red pepper, spinach, lettuce, or mushrooms.
drink, H2O and occasional tea
snack, sugarless chocolate (7 piece for 2 carbs), tea sweeten with splenda and cream.
I use to weight 105 in highschool and gradually increased to 115 during college. Last year, I had jaw surgery, which prevented me from eating solids for 6 weeks (i only lost 10 lb on this high carb low protein liquid diet). Then, when food become available again, I gained 10 lb in one year
Those last twenty pounds are stubborn. My question is do you have to excercise along with the Atkins diet for it to work?
