Default Faux Atkins Bake Mix Carb Count??

Has anyone ever run the recipe for "faux" Atkins Bake Mix thru MasterCook? Just wondering about the nutritional details, since I've seen conflicting info on the net.

This is the recipe:

Faux Atkins Bake Mix

1 cup soy flour
2 cups soy protein isolate
2 tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Splenda

Sift together then store and use as you would Dr. A's. It's much cheaper and things come out about the same.

Thanks to whoever does it!

Hi there, Jeanyy.

MasterCook uses mostly the same USDA database info that FitDay does, so running the ingredients through FitDay will get you some reliable results.

So will using the online carb counter (same data base) on this website.

Hope this helps.

PS: there are many variations on this recipe; did you get this version from the Readers' Recipe section right here on this website?

Hi Judi

Yes, the recipe is from this website, but I've seen it elsewhere.. no variations, though.

Just tried Fitday and got about 3 net carbs per 1/4 cup, the same as the real Atkins brand... thank you!
