Default S)S--post binge food ideas?

I fell off on Friday night with an indulgent session of choclatiering.

I am back on track, but the cravings are killing me. I have managed to get on track for both sat and sun, but when will I lose the hunger and cravings?

What are some good foods to help me cope, get into ketosis, and get back on mental track?

I'd suggest killing the cravings with protein/fat combos like eggs, cheese, meats, olives... IT's hard to crave chocolate when you're full of really satisfying food. It might sound really bad, but sometimes I have to OVEReat just a little on these foods to make myself forget what I can't have! (Not a binge, mind you, just a LITTLE past the point of satisfaction, and just for a day or two)

That's a smart thing to do considering your metabolism is still burning quite a few more calories from the bad food you put down.

Putting down foods your body is not used to speeds up the metabolism in turn causing hunger/cravings. Filling up is a good way to go, though I would not go to far with protein, as you'll just cause an insulin release that will drive your hunger through the roof!

Protein, cause an insulin release? Could you elaborate on that? From what I understand, only excessive protein intake can be converted by the body into glucose, in a process slow enough that it wouldn't cause the kind of rapid spike (such as eating high-carb foods would produce) that would cause cravings. I've certainly never experienced cravings from a big helping of meat before.

It all depends on how much fat you put down with the meat. If you put down a 99% fat free peice of meat without adding enough fat a good portion will glycolize and can cause an insulin release.

It also depends on the person, I can't take in more than around 30gms of lean protein at one sitting unless fats are WAY high, if I do I get huger pains.

Default Exercise, water, anti-oxidants

Exercise to clear your head and empty your muscles, water to clean out the debris, anti-oxidants to clean up the cellular "trash" left over. Pretty much the same thing you might do for a hangover, minus the aspirin.
