Hi, Maria. Welcome

You're off to a great start. Yes, it does work like that -- it just did, didn't it Often at the beginning there's water loss weight; the rate of loss does slow down, and it often isn't steady. You can't predict how much you'll lose how fast -- look around the board and you'll see several "how fast did you lose" threads in various places. The answers are very, very different. Depends on age, metabolism, number of diets you've been on in the past, weight, etc.

It helps to focus on other things besides the scale number -- measurements, how you feel. There are a lot of health benefits to low carbing which you'll undoubtedly discover. One of the most important things to realize -- and it can take some rethinking -- is that this isn't a diet, but a way of eating for life. That's how to get it to really work

Good luck! I hope you'll post often and let us know how you're doing!

Thumbs up

Hi Maria, glad you've joined this forum.

I fully agree with alto in what she says. I hope that you have an easy low carb journey. Just remember this is not a short term fix, as with any change in eating habits, it has to become a way of life.

Every success.
