Default Well, I made it through today....

Hi everyone. I made it through today. Today was my first day back to school. I purposefully started the Atkins plan over spring break so that I could get into the swing before I got hectic again. I am in Dental Hygiene school, and for those of you that don't know, it is a greuling program. Well the stress built all day today with the piling on of new assignments and clinic requirements. But while all my classmates were eating tons of carby food, I stuck with it. I did have to have a Diet Pepsi though. I had a horrible headache and I was falling asleep in my last class. I got home a couple of hours later, and it didn't knock me out of ketosis. If I can have one of those when I need it without it hurting me (I know they generally aren't good for me, but it may be my only saving grace), that may be good. It will help me avoid the Au Bon Pain that everyone flocks to on breaks.

I am in the middle of TOM, and my pants felt incredibly tight today. For some reason during the day yesterday, I felt really good - like my jeans were looser. I am hoping after TOM leaves this week, that I will seem quantitative results (either on the scale or the tape measure) that will keep me going. This Friday will mark the 2 week mark of induction. I have been in Ketosis since day 2, and no scale loss. A little inch loss, but not much. Anyway, just needed to share. Thanks for listening.

Congratulations on making it through the challenge. That always feels so good.

That was a very smart decision and good planning to give yourself Spring Break to start in. If I had know about the fun associated with the transition I would have started on a Friday intead of on a Monday.

Try to keep the Diet Pepsi to a minimum and look for any signs that it is affecting your weight loss or that you are wanting more of them. But if neither of those happen - then you are fine.

Hang in there and Keep the Faith!

Congrats on hanging in there, Lizzie! The scale WILL start to move, trust me. I applaud your self control.
