Default Chicken Wing Calories, Please Help....

I am addicted to chicken wings. I love them. I often eat them for dinner, and I eat a lot - as much as 10 "medium size" wings (usually drummette and middle portion, not the wing tip).

I use Fitday, which says 100 calories per "medium" wing. I have seen other nutritional information, on both prepackaged wings (no flour or breading) as well as nutritional sites that show as much as 150 to 180 calories per wing. This is a huge difference. If the higher numbers are right, I am eating WAY more calories than I thought.

Can someone please clarify this? Of course assume no added breading, sugar, or flour; just simple baked, broiled or fried wings.

Thank you.

As far as I know...if you are making the wings themselves, they're pretty harmless. Hot sauce is kind of free condiment.

I'd be interested to find out what they're worth too. DH wants me to make them and I'm not sure what the best way is.

Can anybody help?

The hot wings from Domino's are about 45 calories each, according to them.

One chicken wing with hot sauce is 74 calories, according to fitday. When I'm having these, because I eat lots too, with blue cheese dressing, I make sure I have no other high cal foods that day - usually friday nights.

The frozen ones from Tysons say 140 calories for 2, which would be 70 calories each. It also says 1 carb per wing, so the added flavoring, etc. they use could also be upping the calorie count a bit. HTH

I always order honey garlic wings. I ask for the sauce on the side, and they bring it in a cup. So- I only put a bit of sauce on my wings. I'd love a true carb count on these. I usually have 8-10.
This keeps disappearing on me before I have finished, that's why the edits, to bring it back.

Thanks for the replies. It seems that the number varies between 90 to 150 cal. per wing (2 pieces). That is still a huge calorie (not carb) difference when I wolf down ten of them.
