Default Splenda Diet Coke's not bad

It tastes good. A bit too sweet but yummy. Unfortunately it also has that acesulfame k, which gives it a slight aftertaste. I've also found sodas with acesulfame k don't mix well with Franks hot sauce. So no diet coke and wings for me.

Still a pleasant treat! And easy to find. Pepsi One is Splenda/Acesufame K too.

The diet Coke with Splenda is just too sweet for me. I LOVE the diet Coke with lime though. I know, I know Nutrasweet, but I only enjoy maybe 2 twenty oz. bottles a week.

It's weird, before LC I was a huge Diet Coke junkie and HATED Diet Pepsi. Now I love the Pepsi One, but I can't stand the Diet Coke with Splenda. I am drinking waaay too much of the Pepsi One tho, I need to cut back!

panda girl, I love your avatar!

Does the Splenda sweetened Diet Coke cost the same as other Coke products?

thanks! I'm a panda fanatic, its become a terrible obsession I think the Diet Coke w/ Splenda is the same or maybe a bit more. I belive the 20 ounce bottle was 1.39. My bf is a soda junkie and tries every new product on the market, usually diet only, and he was the one who bought it.

At first all they had was the single serving bottles. Just yesterday I saw 2 liter bottles at Target, didnt note the price since I didnt like it. The Pepsi one in cans has been on sale at my market, all week. same price as all the other pepsi products

I just tried Diet Coke with Splenda at a friend's house and it is really good. I checked at our local walmart store and it was 58 cents a bottle for the 20 ounce bottles. I figure it was on sale and grabbed some. I'll have to look for the Pepsi One. I didn't realize it existed. Thanks :O)

I tried it last week. I thought it was too sweet. I also thought it had a real strong lemony taste to it (no, it wasn't DC with lemon). My wife did too.

anyone know about the safety of ace-k?

sometimes i wonder if this tradeoff of aspartame for splenda/ace-k is really worth it :\

I wasn't aware Coca-Cola even had a DC w/Splenda until I went to Wal-Mart today and saw a poster advertising it. The 2 liter was $1.08 and I didn't check to see if they had the 12 packs. I didn't buy any there because I was going to the grocery store to see if the Edy's ice cream of BOGO $4.79 included the No Sugar added (it did but just Butter Pecan and Nepolitan-- got the BP and a reg. Double Vanilla).

At the check out they had a cooler filled with ice and 20 oz DC w/Splenda for 2/$1, so I grabbed 2 of them.

I really like it, not too sweet and to me it doesn't have that bad of an after taste at all. Now they need to get it with Lime, Cherry , and vanilla flavors.

I don't like the Diet RC or Diet Rite cola flavor, too much like Diet Coke in flavor and after taste, I always have to add SF flavorings to be able to drink it.

So now the diet soda I will buy is Diet Rite Tangerine and DC w/Splenda.

For the first time, I ran into Diet Coke Splenda tonight. I picked one up and absolutely loved it. I'm a Diet Coke monster - I drink way, way too many.

I thought its sweetness gave it a taste more akin to Coca-Cola Classic. It also seemed to have more of the bite a Classic might have. I preferred it, at least at first blush to regular Diet Coke.

Definite thumbs-up from me.

I love the Diet Coke w/Splenda--although I wish it was a litle less sweet. I like the citrus-ee taste it seems to have.......although I am wondering where it comes from
