Question Fit Day logs

HI everyone! I love this site. I am also systematically trying to make my way back through all the listings as the information is so great. I just started using fitday to log my food. For a tossed salad, do I have to list each veggie and quantity seperately? Also, I made a cauliflower, parm, butter and cream dish last night and found I had to try to guess what each individual ingredient serving size was and list it all seperately. Is there an easier way? After reading all the advice about daily calories and fat/protein/carb ratios I thought I should track it. Also, I haven't been eating enough carbs. Thanks! Leslie

Talking Great plan!

I think that it is a great tool to use. I use it often to gage a specific thing that I want to eat, to figure out serving size of something I cook, or to just get back on track when i'm not sure of my balanced eating.

For the salad, if you eat the same type of salad each day you can create a new custom food. I go to a clear day and add each specific veggie and dressing then you have the totals in the daily numbers up top. Then I keep that screen open and open another window of fitday. I add new custom food and name it and then add the totals from the other window and save. Then I remove the items from my day not really used and I have a salad (or whatever) that I can just pick from the pull down.

If not it is up to you. Induction allowed veggies are pretty close and if you round out you will usually be ok (as long as amounts are pretty accurate).

Sorry for the novel.

All the best.

Oh, I get what you're saying now! duhhh~! I thought you were talking about another website, but you were actually saying "a clear day" on fitday. Sorry about that!

No need to apologize. If you misunderstood, probably someone else did too.
