Default you can tell you're a carb addict when...

due to life circumstances you can't mentally stay on the plan and you go for the frosting in the cupboard to keep up your addiction.time to get back on the bandwagon!! lol. it's honestly just as bad as drugs, i would think!! haha! anyone else do the same thing at least once in their low carbing time??

here's what i ate on a planned cheat-day coz i found out about this really "interesting" irish dessert

- Mars (chocolate bar with caramel nougat) bar dipped in batter, deep-fried, served with vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles

- what's funny is, i ordered a "Diet" coke with it hahahahahaha

man, that night i couldn't sleep because of the sugar rush! and spent a good 2.5hours in the gym the next day coz i felt so guilty!!! but i think it's good to treat yourself once in a blue moon

looks like this but served with vanilla icecream

whatever you all do... only have it on "planned" cheat days in the weekends... it gives you a severe sugar rush and will probably cause you to gain like 2lbs lol.. i felt so guilty when i ate it

I have heard that the deep fried candy bar is really good, but that picture is not at all what I imagined. I'd walk away too.

I agree with MaryToU, that thing looks downright gross. Kind of like something my cat would.... ah, nevermind.

As for the carb dreams; I once dreamt that I was riding along in an ice cream truck, squirting chocolate syrup onto the bare leg of the driver and then licking it off. When I woke up I almost fell out of bed from laughing so hard.

When I can't sleep at night, instead of counting sheep, I count the kinds of desserts I would like to have. I don't care what the Atkins book says, I don't think I'm ever going to lose my desire for sweets!

I've heard of deep fried snickers, and deep fried cheesecake. I don't know though. Even now that I am eating more fried foods it still sounds disgusting. Sugar, grease, and starch. not to mention lot of transfats. I don't htink it has one refeaming quality :P Even the taste would be too sweet to actually be interesting, just overpowering.

Kind of looks like what the dog left when the kids left a bag of marshmallows unattended.... <shudder>

I'm not going to get into the whole "planned cheat" controversy....

Back to the main post... we ALL have our moments. The trick for me is not keeping "danger" foods in the house. After I realized a LOT of the things I bought "for my son" weren't exactly HIS favorites I realized how I was setting myself up.

I realize a person would have to be pretty hard-hearted to rid your house of ALL carbs with kids around, but I have to minimize temptation by outlawing the foods I feel powerless around.

I used to have dreams about just realizing that I hadn't gone to an important class all semester (even though I'm fifteen years out of college) NOW I dream I just ate something that I wasn't supposed to!
