Default Beachbody vs The Firm?

I am considering purchasing the Slim in Six tapes from Beachbody.com. I would love to hear from anyone who has tried this series...or the Power 90 tapes by the same company. What do you think? However, I am also drawn to The Firm and can't decide. Would love some input and guidance from this group :-)

I started Atkins this week at 175lbs, 65" with a goal of 135.

Thanks! Liz

I'm considering buying one of the beachbody series also but I'm thinking of going right past the slim in 6 and Power 90 and going for P90x. Because I've been doing the FIRM for about a year with awesome results. I highly reccommend the FIRM but I can't say whether Slim in 6 is better or not I'm thinking resultswise it may be comparable. My only caution with the Firm would be knee"wise", if you have any problems because there is a lot of stepping up and down on a box.

I read Power 90 workouts are not that long so if you want something shorter timewise that might be a good one. It also builds muscle whereas Slim in 6 doesn't.

I'm wondering about the beachbody series too so I hope you get a lot of answers to your question. I posted one about P90x last night.

Good Luck!
Jenny

Thanks Jenny! That helps clarify things for me. I feel drawn to The Firm so I should just go with my instincts! Luckily I don't have problems with my knees. I am a massage therapist and my upper body is already pretty toned (although I'm getting some serious "wings" in my tricep area and I expect to take flight soon if I don't get it under control lol). However, from the waist down...yuk! What results did you see with The Firm and how closely did you follow the tapes? Where did you get the most results with The Firm?

Well you will probably lose weight everywhere. But the places I noticed the most improvement sculpting"wise" was definately my legs and hips. With out sounding like a bragger I hope , I love my hips now. They look better than they have my entire life. I can also see abs now but I still have a "kid having tummy" unfortunately not sure anything but surgery will help that.

And about how closely I followed the tapes? Well in the beginning I just kept moving even if I couldn't keep up with what they were doing. Now I can do all the tapes just as they are.

I really like the new Sculpting System 3 (SS3). But I think you could be just as happy with SS2 since its cheaper right now. Come and visit us Firmies on the Firm Forum anytime.
