Default Original diet patch

A fried of mine, whom I have been trying to persuade to do Atkins with me has decided to try another "fast and effective-hehehe(been there several times)" weight loss method as of the 1st of the year. It is a called the "original diet patch" and it has "fucus vesiculosus" as the major ingredient. Has anybody got any information on this-is it safe for her? (I also wanted to add that she doesn't have any health problems than being over weight about 30 pounds and she has high blood pressure!)

Any input is appreciated.

I am still at my loss of 38 pounds but I have increased my inches lost from 9 to 12-Life is Good!

I doubt that it will hurt her, but I also doubt that it will do her much good without some modification to her diet.
Fucus (also known as bladderwrack) is thought to stimulate weight loss through stimulating thyroid function with its high iodine content.
There is very little information or scientific support, however, as to how effective it is.

When I quit smoking I used the Nicotine patch and it worked well. To loose weight I am considering taping a steak to my butt. That way the food will be released at a steady rate all day.
