I think most green, leafy veggies like spinach are packed with potassium. You can also use a salt substitute made with potassium chloride.

i think seeds are exceptionally high in potassium too (sunflower seeds and pumpkin?) i just know that when I start feeling low on potassium i load up on a supplement and treat myself to a sliced avacado with chopped cucumber (more potassium there!)and a generous handful of salted roasted sunflower seeds...yummy! hope that helps.

Morton's Lite Salt. It gives the taste of sodium chloride but it has potassium in it instead. It's not that expensive either.

Here is the potassium content of some lowcarb foods, in common portion sizes (info from the USDA nutrient database) :

- 1 cup cooked spinach ... 839 mg
- 4 oz cooked halibut ... 733 mg
- 1 cup cooked chinese cabbage (bok choy) .. 631 mg
- ½ med. avocado (4 oz) ... 576 mg
- 1 cup cooked mushrooms ... 555 mg
- 4 oz cooked or canned red salmon ... 465 mg
- 4 oz cooked lean beef ... 427 mg
- 4 oz cooked chicken breast ... 310 mg
- ½ cup plain yogurt ... 290 mg
- 2 Tbsp natural peanut butter ... 238 mg
- 4 oz canned light tuna ... 235 mg
- 12 oz mug of brewed coffee ... 175 mg

A medium banana has 422 mg potassium and 24g ECC/net carbs.
