Default What is the accurate carb count for zucchini?

Fitday gives me for 1 large zucchini:

3 calories; 0,496 carbs; 0,176 fiber

Atkins Carb Gram Counter gives for 1/2 cup:

9 calories; 1.9 carbs; 0.8 fiber = 1.1 net carbs

1/2 cup is a lot less than 1 large zucchini, so I can't possibly reconcile these two numbers. I have been eating a lot of zucchini and Fitday always gives me a "0" carb count with only 3 calories but I guess that may not be accurate after all.

Does anybody know what the actual count is?

Thanks!

I never trust volume measures - they're not very reliabe, I mean how large is a "large zucchini"? Try to look it up in the Carbohydrate Counter on this board instead. They show grams as well. (I customise things in Fitday based on the Carb Counter gram values.) And then weigh your succhini. It's lowcarby anyway, so even with fluctuations you're probably quite safe.

The most accurate measurement probably come from the USDA national nutrient database which you can search free of charge:

The Carbohydrate Counter is found to the right on this page (direct link, third from the bottom) and under "Low Carb Tools" in the orange bar on top of this page.

I believe the measurements/figures in the Carbohydrate Counter are the same as the USDA ones.
