Default odd blood sugars

Went on a 4 day fishing/camping trip with some church friends. The food was part of the social thing-Al's moose chili, Gina's blueberry pancakes, etc. Didn't want to go off in the woods and make my lonely lc stuff, so ate regular. Didn't even like the stuff, really, after more than 6 months of honest Bernstein. Way too sweet. Now that I'm home, strange things are happening. I had my usual 6 oz protein and green veg., and an hour later my reading was 57, and the meter was asking me did I need a snack. I THINK what happened was, those carbs/sugars pumped my insulin levels back up, so it just eats up any bg and looks around for more. I hope things get back to normal soon. Bill
