Tell me about Aspartame...

Does Aspartame really make u gain weight? Or is it just prone to make you have cravings again? I have heard 2 different things...

I am a HUGE fan of having diet caffiene free coke when I eat lunch because it compliments the food that I eat and would love to not have to give it up.

If it is just cravings, I don't think I've had any from it. If it is going to stall my weight loss ( I just finished having a stall and I'm losing again ) then I will stay away from it.

Does anyone know of a diet cola not containing aspartame?
