Default How do you know

What percentage of fat your diet should consist of for the Atkins. I used the fitday website and it said I am at 60%. Is that too low too high? I just don't understand how I can have a higher fat, but lower cals.

Fat is the fuel you are using when on Atkins remember. It looks odd to you to see such a high % of fat but its ok to be there,You will be burning fat not storing it.

I lose better when I'm at 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs. I try to stay close to those numbers, but it does vary daily. If you're used to low-fat dieting those numbers seem alarming, but your body will burn the fat for energy.

Sounds like you may be using fitday, so keep track for a few days and see how it goes.

Good luck!
