Question New here

Hi everyone. I've been browsing this forum for the last two weeks. You've already been so so much help to me. So first of all, I just want to thank everyone for sharing so much pertinant information.

I'm 24 years old. Very fat. lol Obviously I guess. I've struggled with weight my whole life. It just never ends. I've tried about everything to lose weight. And this was kind of a last ditch effort. I couldn't believe it when my first week I lost 10 pounds! And then the second week I lost 7. Tomorrow will be my 3rd weigh in. I realize it won't always come off so fast, but I sure did make things easier to stick to through all the stomache aches and everything else when that weight zipped off. lol

I have a 2, just about 3 year old son. He is the main reason I'm doing this. I was already big, but when my husband died I put on another 70 pounds in like record time. Then my son started to crawl and here I was 354 pounds. I could not beleive it! My fastest before then was 287. And I saw the 300 coming around and panicked my self into weight loss. Our son was only 3 months old, and I hadn't yet gotten the baby fat off of me much less, old fat.....then I gracefully added to it.

I had the worst stomache aches for about the first 4 or 5 days. I've now learned I can't handle salsa....which I used to practically drink. I've notice.....dragon breath. So I have a constant supply of gum and breath mints now. lol But I've found a lot of variations to food now, even cheesecakes and stuff, so I think I might actually be able to stick to this diet after all.....hopefully. lol

Well speaking of the 3 year old son.....he decided he wanted to get up so I gotta go. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Kelly

Hey Kelly!

I'm glad to see someone near my age, and my weight. Congrats in your decision to follow this diet. I'm sure it will be beneficial for both you, and your young son. Have you started a journal?

Hi Kelly and welcome to this forum, glad you have decided to join.

I wish you every success and I am sure that your results for the first 2 weeks will have inspired you to keep going. You might like to start a journal as this is a great way to keep track of your progress and to make friends.

I hope that you get good results from your 3rd weigh in.

Sounds like you are doing great and we are glad you are with us now. We are all here to help when we can.

Becareful of the gum and mints (usually have carbs even the SF) so maybe use those listerine strips or upping your water helps...

You've made a wonderful decision to conquer the weight demon while you are still young. Congratulations!

Stay strong and continue to let your son motivate you. Chasing after him will be so much easier and he will learn good eating habits from you as well.

Start that journal. It's great fun and during those rough spots it can really keep you afloat.

Welcome,
Deb

Welcome!

I wish I'd had your committment at 24. Instead, I tried fad diets and whined about my genes when they didn't work. The only jeans I whine about now are the ones at the mall that I'm coveting.

You'll do GREAT, and we are all here to help!

Well thank you so much for your welcomes!!

I lost 7 more pounds again. Great for motivation. lol

Angelica~I haven't started a journal yet. But I will be sure to check yours out. TY for the link.

LittleAnne~I'm pretty pleased with latest weigh in. lol Wish this weight would keep coming off like this!!

DCBrowne~LOL yeah! Nothing like trying to chase down a just about 3 year old to make you want to lighten up!!

LKonzelman~Yep I've been keeping track of the carbs in there too. I love the eclipze flash strips. No carbs in those either.

QuickDeb~I think I'm deffinately going to start one of those journals. lol Probably not yet today though. But its sounding more and more like a good idea.

Celtinore~I've done plenty of those fad diets too.....so many pills. I truley do wish there was some magic pill or something. This diet is pretty trying but well worth the effort.

Happy Weight Loss
Kelly
