Default Going grocery shopping...

And I need some idea of what to buy

lettuce
cheese
hot dogs
bacon
eggs
sausage
cucumber
mushrooms
spinach
cabbage
diet soda
tuna
chicken

I am not really in to cooking at all.

For lunch and dinner. I think I'm just gonna mostly make some salads with like lettuce, cheese, mushrooms and maybe some blue cheese salad dressing or whatever. Occasionally throw in some tuna or chicken

For breakfast I suppose some eggs and sausage or bacon.

Sounds kind of boring, but no matter. Hopefully soon I won't be looking forward to meals anymore and be focusing on other things more important in life right?

What do you guys normally eat? Anything I should look out for in the stores thats good to munch on?

I would print out the allowed foods on the Induction list on the Atkins site and get the foods you will eat. That is what I did. Most people will tell you to stay away from the hot dogs, but I didn't and still lost well. I ate hot dogs a few times a week.

Plan to eat 5 or 6 times a day---- Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack
supper, snack. For snacks, I usually have pork rinds handy.
Also boiled eggs, or make ham and cheese roll ups with mayonaisse inside. Also, sugar free jello is a good dessert or snack. Drink plenty of water and take calcium/magnesium supplements if you get leg cramps.

Wishing you great success!

Go easy on the processed meats like hot dogs and bologna as many of them contain fillers and sugar and the sausage and bacon because of the high salt content unless you don't have problems with water retention.

Unless you dislike them, you can also have beef, pork and fish (in addition to tuna).
Some additional veggies to add for variety might be zucchini, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, radishes and romaine lettuce and don't forget that you can have olives and avocados (if you happen to like them) in addition to your veggies during induction.

If your choices sound as though you may get bored quickly, check out the recipe forum for some ideas on creative things you can do with all the fresh meat and produce you're about to purchase.

Do you have a grill? Any kind of fresh meat on the grill is really easy to prepare and doesn't dirty any dishes! I take my steak, chops, chicken, whatever... cover it in olive oil, salt, and pepper... grill...then top with melted butter. So easy and really yummy.

I would substitute spinach for lettuce--many more nutriens and more fiber.

Default boneless chicken thighs

on the George Forman Grill are very yummy! Better than breast because they don't dry out.
