Angry OK, been sick, better now, weight gain?????

I started induction two weeks ago, (AGAIN, fell off the wagon a while ago) and went right into ketosis, saw a pound come off. Got sick earlier this week, (I wrote in regarding severe stomach pains, thought is was a virus, doc said could have been mild food poisoning, not sure) but better now. I couldn't eat much at all for two days, but when I did, I stuck strictly to the plan. Now I'm up 3 pounds??? I understand maybe it's water -retention, does this mean when I stop retaining water (If this is even the case) I'll see pounds off? Where did these 3 pounds come from? Every day the scale creeps up. I know I shouldn't weigh every day, but I'm obsessing now. Whenever I see even a small loss, I am that much more confident and feel so much better about myself. I need thes lifts UGH

Can you share some of your menus for the past few days? That's about the only way that anyone can begin to tell you. You may want to create a journal and track what you eat and/or use fitday.com to track.

Let us know...

Breakfast is a combo, of either scrambled eggs and sausage, or bacon....

snack is a few chedder cheese squares (says 0 carbs, count as one)

Lunch, can be tunafish with a bit of mayo, a ground beef patty, grilled chicken, etc....

snack a small salad (lettuce mainly) with blue cheese dressing

dinner, usually a meat entree of some sort, I had wedding soup which had chicken broth, ground beef and parmesean meatballs and a bit of spinach in it this last few days

And If I am hungry later, I try to have a bit more of what's leftover.....

Default starvation increase?

I think this may be the clue - I think your body went into starvation mode so you have lost the metabolic advantage and are using anything you eat very efficiently. I actually just posted about that in this same forum. Just go on normally - we all see a creeping up becuase of TOM temporariliy, and a sickness can cause even more irregularities - just go back to the routine.!
