Smile only on day 2!!!!!

So i'm on my 2nd day of Atkin's Induction phase....really nervous about this whole thing......

It took me an entire week to get through 1 full day of no carbs, but I finally did it!

Breakfast's and Dinner's are easy as I have those at home, it's lunch that kills me!!! The food court in my office building is almost all carbs!!! But, i'm making do with mainly chicken caeser salad's.

does anyone have any suggestions for a tasty lunch that i can bring from home? something really simple???

If you order chicken caesar salad just ask them to omit the croutons... As for home meals??? try ham roll ups... take a slice of ham or any other low carb meat and spread with cream cheese and place a sliced pickle in the middle.. roll up... or what I love to have is deep fried chicken wings sprinkled with lemon or hot spicy sauce, and have it with a salad....or check on the recipe boards and you will find loads of ideas there.

Hi, treenaah! Welcome

Congrats for making it through your first week. I sympathize about lunch. I work at home now, but when I was working in an office, I had problems too. Lunch meant a sandwich.

Joanne's given you some great ideas. Another way to think of it is that you can put anything you'd put on bread on romaine lettuce leaves! If you have a microwave available to you, you can take leftovers -- slices of beef with a sauce, meatloaf, chicken breasts.

If you've conquered breakfast and dinner, you're two steps ahead of the game. At least you're focused on one problem meal. Others are battling demons throughout the day

Good luck! I hope you'll post often so we can see how you're doing

I do the following things for lunches to bring to work: canned tuna or chicken with and without mayo, you can also put scallions and celery in all of those. Egg salad, crabmeat. Cold cuts and cheese. String cheese are very convenient, all prepackaged and all. Cucumber slices are my favorite snack. I also save whatever is left over from dinner the night before and sometimes heat it up at work too. I also try to put lots of crispy and interesting vegetables in my salads (like radishes and daikon). Hope this gives you some ideas!
