Question Fat/ Protein Gram counter...How many do I get?

Hey everyone..I am new here and just wanted to know if anyone has an idea of how many grams of fat are ok and how grams of protein are ok to eat in one day. Right now I eat around 90-120 grams of protein and about 30-40 grams of fat. The fat grams are really scaring me because I am one of those people who never went over 20 grams a day. Now they tell me it is ok to eat fat! Please don't tell me to read the book, that seems to be the typical response...I have a very short attention span. Thank you

I use fitday to keep track of my daily intake. The ratio I use is 3% carbs, 70% fat, and 27% protein.

Hope this helps!

Hi. Know what you mean about being afraid of too much fat. I was with Weight Watchers for "donks" years. Always watching the 20 grams of fat. When I started Atkins I found it very hard to include fat in my diet. You can be assured that unless you do, Atkins won't work for you. I was initially told to use the ratio:
65% fat
30% protein
5% carbs
If you use FitDay it makes it so much easier for you. All calculated out. Initially it is a bit of a pain inputting special receipes, but well worth the trouble.
Hope all goes well
Cheers...Pam
