Default Carbonated Water

Have heard that you should not include carbonated water in your daily water intake - is this true? and if so, can anyone explain why?

In DANDR 2002 he states that club soda, I am assuming that's carbonated water, is ok.

Now the problems with it are it's usually very high in sodium so you can retain water from it. Next, I believe some of those soda's or all, not sure here contain citric acid which can stall some folks.

Hi Demi

You can get sodium free carbonated spring water, which I drank quite a lot of, all through my weight loss, and even now, am doing fine with my weight. Some have lemon lime flavour, and I have not retained any water from any of them.
I don't cook with or use salt in my foods so that may help. You do need some sodium in your system, and once in a while I do use a bit of sea salt.

Hi Jo and Lizzy,
