Default HELP Need Beach Food!!

Me and my fella are going to the beach this weekend. He is mostly veggie except for fish. I cannot eat beef in front of him but I must pack enough calories without having to guzzle olive oil when he isn't looking!

Good grief, this is what I've been reduced too - 'reduced' no pun intended!

Last time we went to the beach we took a whole watermelon and pigged out. It was SO GOOD and cold!! He bought one at the store the other night so ...this could be a problem...he's probably also planning on bringing wine, which I've included at 4oz even though I'm doing induction...might be more difficult at beach...

We do both love deviled eggs, shrimp (boiled and cold - good for beach), I can eat turkey bacon in front of him, and cream cheese, cream, I'm just worried about getting enough calories. ANY HELP OUT THERE???

Thanks in advance!

How about tuna with extra mayo, salads with extra dressing, avacados, cooked veggies and the shrimp with extra butter?

Hope this helps.

Peg

Cheese, cheese, and more cheese - endless variety, high fat, and more veggie lovers love cheese, too.

I know there are limits during induction, but your activity level at the beach ought to be above average, and I doubt some extra cheese with be a problem.

He can eat his high carb sugary foods in front of you, but you can't eat your protein-rich, healthy foods in front of him? Rather than accommodating to him, perhaps you need to discuss with him why his way of eating trumps yours. Feeling the need to hide something as fundamental as the way you eat from the person you love is probably not workable in the long-run. My husband does not do low carb, but he certainly respects my decision to do so.

She's in induction, so if she does eat nuts, stay with the high fat ones - macadamias, walnuts, pecans.
