Default DH starts today!

I got the SB book. I do CAD, myself, so this is fine-tuning for me.

When I started CAD, I figured that the most important thing was to NOT get hungry, even if it meant having a little something every couple of hours or so. A handful of nuts, a piece of cheese or meat, combined with a high-fiber, LC veggie (celery sticks are nice, but then so is steamed broccoli, etc).

I made up some of those spinach-cheese cups (although I baked it in a flat pan and then took out single-servings) for him. I had one myself, they taste good. I added a little oregano.

so I've packed up extra food for him today, including two LF string cheeses, a laughing cow cheese, a couple of sticks of celery, cleaned and cut up, and (because this will keep him away from the real stuff), some sugar-free chocolate (it's the lesser of two evils). edit: I just added 8 whole macadamia nuts.

he has been instructed to get a large salad w/ protein and low-sugar salad dressing for lunch.

Any more ideas? I don't want him to get hungry, as this will just undermine the whole plan.

The snacks are important...I used to schedule mine at 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM. I'm on Phase III and snacks are no longer required, though, I still occaisionally have some peanuts or a LC fudgecicle in the afternoon. I really think that having that small handful of peanuts, pastachios, some cheese, or veg, etc. really helped me through the first couple of weeks and on through Phase II. I think the afternoon snack was most important to me. Seems like a long time between lunch and dinner.

Good luck to your DH.
