Has any one tried the nitrate free bacon at Trader Joe's? I believe the brand is Neiman's Own...it has some sugar and maple in it , I think but no nitrate's. If you have tried it; does it taste good or give you sugar cravings afterwards?

No one has tried this bacon...come on...someone must have...I know you all shop at Trader Joe's......

This bacon is incredible! I grew up in a small town in Missouri, so I know good bacon. This is some of the best I've ever had. Just be sure to buy the package that says "uncured", as Trader Joe's also carries Niman Ranch cured bacon. Here's the link to the Niman Ranch website--they have really high-quality meat. Check out their prices, though. I won't be ordering anything there!
