How do you all keep track of your carbs on the weekends? I use fitday during the week and I do good. On the weekend I get busy, the kids are on the computer, etc. and I can't keep up with fitday. I thought I was doing ok, but the scale was up 2 lbs (eek!) this morning!

Same thing here. Too busy on the weekend.
I have a strategy that seem s to work. I only eat salad and meat on the weekend. It helps me get through.

I find the weekends tough - either I eat too much or not enough. I keep a little note book and record everything I eat than when I have a moment, I get on the computer and enter into FITDAY. I also bought a paperback book with over 10,000 carb counts which I use to manually calculate the carbs/fats/etc. My biggest problem over the weekend is my water consumption and the tendancy to "cheat". Gotta break those bad habits!!!

What is it with weekends? I have a really tough time, too. I don't drink enough water, I have a couple of low carb beers, don't eat enough times during the day. I wind up with the same Monday morning scale every week, but the added weight is gone by midweek.

I hear you Yvonne - my water intake dries up on the weekends. I often only eat 2 meals instead of three. I was keeping track of everything in Fitday for a while, but I was out of town with no internet access for 10 days, and I have not gotten back in the habit.

Are tough for me too. Especially when it comes to drinking water and getting free time to do Fitday or even exercise.

Default WHAT YVONNE SAID!

I just jot down what I ate, either look in my counter book or enter in fitday when I have time. I also sometimes get up early and put in a rough estimate of what I'm planning on eating (based on what's in the fridge). I've also been know to do that the night before. That seems to help. As for water, I reuse the same liter water bottle and refill with filtered water to help me. I am NEVER without my bottle!

Thanks, everyone!

Looks like I am not the only one with this problem. Thanks for the suggestions. I will try and start at least writing down and plugging it into Fitday when I can. That way if I do gain, hopefully I can figure out what did it.

And, I do have to remember to drag my water bottle with me when I am out running around.

I quit using fitday (unless I want to know a specific item) and life is so much easier for me.

Just counting carbs now.

I write down what I eat and try to keep it to something I know the carb count for. Then in the evening, I "kick" the kids off the computer for 10 minutes and put it all into Fitday.

As for exercise, I try to do something fun with the family involved like go bowling or riding bikes to the park or gardening. It is not as much as my week day workouts but it's something!
