Default Lb. loss/gain follows x# days from food intake?

For anyone who's done close charting of their carb intake (and/or calories, exercise, whatever), have you ever pinned down for yourself generally whether it's the day before's intake, the two-days-ago intake or the three-days ago intake (or, I suppose, 'other') that is really reflected in your scale weight and fat % (if you have a scale that measures that)?

If you cheat badly, do you go up in weight the next day typically, or later? Or, if you're really good and get a decent amount of exercise, is it the next day or later that more often than not a loss shows?

I ask this not because I'm unhealthily focusing on the scale, but because I would like to experiment with various types of food intake and exercise outgo to see what works best for me.

I would ask the same questions of anyone who's experimented with including/excluding theoretical food allergens in their diets, as that's part of what I'll be doing.

By asking what 'usually' happens as regards weight, I'm assuming morning weigh-in before any food/liquid intake, in a person with regular elimination, etc.

Thanks.

I don't think there is a usual. Every one has a different metabolism, and thier body processes food differently. Small shifts in the scale are usualy water weight, not what you ate the night before. As for exercise it takes doing it regularly, even if just a small amount, before you see weight loss or gain.

Planning cheats and giving yourself so many days to see it will just through your metabolism out of whack and make it that much harder to lose IMO.
