Default Cant excercise as much

I do a three day a week , tough work out for abou 11/2 hours. Since Atkins I find I get nauseated and have to keep taking breaks, also cant complete all my sets.

Im on Day 8 ; calories count about 2,500 ; carbs 17-18; have about 25 pounds to go

Any suggestions?

How about taking it easy as suggested in the Atkins books? He does say that a person may feel fatigued in the first weeks as the body adjusts to many new changes in the fuel supply. If you take it easy now, the body will find its old level faster than if you try to push through it.

Yup, I think I will take it easy...Yes, I do drink about 64oz of water! Only hope less excercise will not impede the wt loss!!

Post Exercise

Thought you might find this interesting....
I did Atkins a couple of years ago and can honestly say I never went to the gym!I lost 2 stone in about 4 months and only did bits of exercise here and there.I had great muscle tone too.
Its crazy because from the age of about 17 I used to go to the gym at least 3 times a week-2 hours at a time- and ate 'low fat' but never seemed to be smaller than a size 14(10 U.S)Used to weigh about 150-155lbs.
Yet after doing Atkins I managed to weigh the same weight-about 150lbs-and yet was a size 10/12!!Totally bizarre!
The only thing I did do was walk a brisk mile 3 or 4 times a week(to and from work-brisk cos I was always late!) so maybe that was the trick....
Take it easy for a while!

Last week was my first week and I couldnt even think about exercising, which I usually do every other day. Actually picking up and putting down my arms and legs was hard. I decided it was withdrawl and went to sleep every opportunity I got. This week I feel much better and am doing about 15 mins of excercise every other day, instead of my usual half hour. I just stop when I get tired and leave it at that. It seems like a gradual thing so I;m assuming I can really kick some cardio kickboxing butt in another month or two I'm looking forward to that!

Hi all. From what I've read, most athletic types say they usually get back to their normal activity level within a few weeks of starting Atkins. But induction (or starting any LC plan) can suck the wind out of you for a short while. Don't worry - you'll readjust.
