Sue, many of us use a website called " fitday " to count our calories and carbs (calorie counting is to be sure we're eating enough). The site is free and you can track your weight, exercise and food intake; it really can be quite eyeopening. As far as too much fat or protein, you should be getting a minimum 60g of protein a day, you can figure out just how much you need by multiplying your weight by a minimum of .6 for protein grams required. I wouldnt worry about the fat right now, unless you're not getting enough. Good ratios are 65 - 70% fat, 5% carbs and the rest protein.
