Default low carb food products

I have played around with the low carb woe before for a few weeks on and off but yesterday decided I really want to give this a fair chance as I want a new WOE not a new diet and most importantly I really believe I can stick with this indefinitely. But I did find that when I used the bars my sticks never really turned purple. Do you think that they need to be eaten rarely...not as a part of your everyday plan or maybe I was doing something else wrong. I appreciate your help!!!!

Purt, I've never eaten more than half a low-carb bar (I couldn't stand the taste) but I've read a lot of posts from people who still when they're eaten. The problem, I think, is hidden carbs -- the carb counts simply aren't accurate. I'm sure there's a thread on that somewhere here, but I don't know where it is -- check the link to the right "The truth about low carb sweeteners info" I think that touches on this problem.

And check the recipes section for some great desserts that DON'T have hidden carbs. You can also conduct your own experiment. Cut them out for a week and see what happens.

Good luck!
