Default Symptom in 7yo DD?

I'm curious. Recently my DD has put on nearly 20 pounds and she has said she itches all the time - her skin. She's had eczema for a few years now as well - in the inside joints of her elbows. I'm going to have her do the spit test tomorrow, when I do mine. Does the itchy, weight gain, etc sound like she might have a yeast problem? So young?

I believe my son has it......I think it is possible, but I always beleive that food allergies should be ruled out first. He has been on antibiotic since the day he was born.......and I am pretty sure-from what I have read- that a mom can pass it to the baby.

I imagine that those symptoms could be indicative of a whole host of other conditions, yet I've known quite a few children/babies who have had oral thrush which is a type of yeast issue, so I wouldn't doubt candidiasis in a pre-pre-teen.

In fact, I truly believe that may be when my "struggle" first began (around the second grade)... I was put on a mega-dose of an antibiotic after having a nasty staph infection combine that with a POOR diet of candy, baked goods, and soda, and hormonal changes...I probably served as a GREAT host!
