Question Need Travel Snack Ideas

I am going to be taking a trip home to visit my parents in a couple of weeks and I am on induction. The trip from my home to my parents home will take about 17 hours by train, plane and automobile (sounds like an old movie). Airplane food and vending machines are not the most atkins friendly so I am looking for some packable (in carry-on), travelable induction snack ideas. They don't have to be strict induction, but definitely strict OWL snacks. With no refrigeration possible during the trip, my options may be quite limited.

Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Almonds, Atkins bars if you can get them.

Can you get one of those insulated lunch bags? And one of those little freezer paks to go in them? Then you could take some stuff that would last at least part of the way, like cheese or hard boiled eggs.

Good luck!

Hi - I travel quite a bit and will be leaving on Wednesday for a drive to CA 9 (18 hours). In addition to what's been mentioned we take cheese crackers (microwaved cheese until its crispy) tuna, in the foil pouches - if you can snag some mayonaise packets you can make a nice tuna salad right in the container. You would be surprised how well things like cheese and even salami hold up without refrigeration for 12-15 hours.
