Your mileage may vary as with everyone elses.
It really depends on YOUR system. The problem occurs when we become so senstive to "sweet" taste our bodies go on auto pilot and start releasing insulin into the blood at the taste of something "sweet" regardless if it is a false sweet or not.
Insulin in the blood stream will prevent the burning of fat instead wanting to store it. So what type is your body? Does it react to a false sweet the same as a real one? Only you can tell.
If consuming products made with aspartame tends to slow down your weight loss then count yourself in with the many that it doesn't matter false or real the body is in over drive.
This is the reason why Dr Atkin's wants you to limit the amount of sweet (real or false) during induction. It is to detox your system and try to readjust this knee jerk reaction we have on producing insulin.
Hope that helped.
