Has anyone found that they had dark shadows under their eyes and in the corners of their eyes.I am two and haalf week in program and i get plenty of sleep and take all my vitamins.Please answer if u have experienced this

I also have dark shadows under my eyes.
Everyone says I look tired, which I am not.

Don't know why they appeared, I try to cover them up with makeup.
Maybe someone else knows.

I also had dark circles and that darkness in the corner of my eyes which quiet a lot of people mentioned when i did atkins first .It did seem to go after a month when i was really in the swing of the things It could be our bodies just adjusting.I came of atkins for just over two months and back on again today and determined to stay with it this time .I must check and see for the dark circles again as i say i am just starting back today and have had a quick peek in the mirror and no dark circles so we will see what a week in does .

I always thought of this as just another old wives tale but...

My grandmother always said that dark circles where a sign of malnutrition.

In my particular health situation, my doctor felt that it was lack of iron. So I upped my iron, and no more dark shadows (unless I don't get enough sleep). Other than that, no darkies on Atkins.

Funny you should mention this- I am 2.5 weeks into the plan and I just noticed today that I have circles and shadows as though I'd pulled an all-nighter.

I hope it goes away.

They went away after about a month.
