Question Flax Seed, Seeds!!! not oil...

Is it totally true that we can take away the "Fiber" away from the Total Carbs of a product? or this is a Myth?
I wanted to know about FLAX SEED (the seeds not the oil) Fitday says 4 carbs, (3.35g of Fiber).

Does this translate to: 1 Tablespoon of Flax = 1 Carb?

If you're following Atkins then yes, you can subtract the fiber.

Flax seed does have some carbs, but it is a relativly low amount unles syou are eating it by the cup full. Some people think it is carb free because of the way the product is labled. As long as you recognize there is some carbs, eat up

My fav hot cereal
2 tbsp ground flax seeds
2 tbsp unprocessed wheat bran
1 scoop designer whey
enough water to cook it
cinnimon

Then when it's done in microwav eI'll add some cream or half and half and maybe some DaVincci. Yummmmm

hmm yep they do have some carbs but the fiber benefit is amazing!! I love using it for hot cereal. I just use a tab of butter, some water and a dab of cream. hmmm heated up it makes a delicious substitiute for a hot breakfast!
