Talking Hello Everyone, I'm happy to be here...Help!

Hi! I just joined this site. I was searching for lowfat lowcarb diets and I found this forum and decided to join.

I really want to lose all the weight that I put on this year and I hope I can find some motivation and inspiration here and I hope I can give the same.

Look forward to reading all your thoughts, success stories and words of wisdom.

Peace

I am glad you found us. You might want to look at the link on the right hand side of the page, "Which low-carb plan is right for me?" Generally, lowcarb plans are moderate or high fat. I am not aware of any that are lowfat, but there may be some out there that I do not know about. Atkins stresses the importance of eating fat in order to stay filled up and to facilitate the process of burning fat.

Right on, Liz! Red and Summer, if you're serious about doing low carb, there are two phrases you can (make that "must") eliminate from your vocabulary....lowfat and low cal.

I've been doing Atkins for just over 6 months, eating beef (with the fat on the steak), chicken (with the skin on), lots of butter, real salad dressing, cream (including whipping) and mayo--plus lots of other good things I wouldn't dare touch on a low cal diet.

....and the result? I've lot 44 lbs. (Not bad for 60 years young.)

Low carb works if you remember that fat is good for you.

Good Luck to you both!

Hi Jude, Liz and Summer. Wow 44 lbs! Congratulations Jude on your weight loss. Phenomenal. Keep up your great progress. I don't know which plan try yet.

Good Luck to all of you.
