Question Soy Nuts Question

How many carbs are in soy nuts?
Do they have more per oz, serving, etc. then Peanuts in a shell?
I am frustrated with Carb Counter-It is not to useful.
Thank you in advance for your support

Hi Jennifer,

According to Fitday, 1 cup of soy nuts have the following:
Calories 438.03
Total Fat 23.62g
Saturated Fat 3.42g
Polyunsaturated Fat 13.34g
Monounsaturated Fat 5.22g
Total Carbohydrate 31.21g
Dietary Fiber 16.46g
Protein 32.75g

Therefore, about 15 net carbs.

Peanuts have the following in 1 cup:
Calories 848.26
Total Fat 71.98g
Total Carbohydrate 27.64g
Dietary Fiber 13.43g
Protein 38.47g

Very similar carb count, with around 14 net carbs. Peanuts just have a lot more fat.

HTH!

Rosebud

Typically, salted but not flavored soy nuts have (1/4 cup serving) have about 8 carbs but 4.5 of them are fiber so 3.5 net carbs. They are actually lower carb and seem to be much more filling than regular nuts. They tend to be dryer so have your water bottle handy. I eat soy nuts as a snack and love them. Glenn Soy has a variety of flavors that have 1 extra carb to them (BBQ my favorite).

Thank you all for taking the time to answer my question so thoroughly.
Looks as if the soy nuts are a good alternative snack.
Especially good for commuting, travel in purse when I am tempted to buy bagel!
Thanks!

A few weeks ago I discovered the wonderfulness of soy nuts. I love them. So far I have only had the bbq flavor, but I am not willing to try any of the other flavors. I like the bbq too much!
