Question Fibre?

Just wondering which veggies provide the greatest sources of fibre?

Also wondering if anyone knows the nutritional breakdown of occhra (ladies fingers)? I can't seem to find the carb counts anywhere.

Thanks!

Ella Mae: Of the vegetables I eat, spinach is the highest in fiber. I also eat a lot of looseleaf lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower. Sometimes I have cabbage which has fiber also. But I also get fiber from flax meal, unprocessed wheat bran (I know, this is not the best thing for you but I eat it in small quantities - just a sprinkle on salads), raspberries, and a limited amounts of nuts. Just with those things I get in at least 25 mg of fiber a day. I'm sure there's a far longer list of vegetables and their fiber content, but those are just the ones I prefer . Sorry, but I've never had a lady finger so I am clueless on what they are.

okra for 110grms has 5.0 grms of digestiable carbs.
in the induction of Atkins it states one of the acceptable veg is okra and you could have up to 7oz if your salad does not exceed 8oz.
Hope this helps

Look at the USDA's Nutrient Lists web page, then click on the link for dietary fiber (ranked by nutrient content). That should give you a good list.
