hi - i'm new to this. have been lc'ing for about 2 weeks. had been miserable - feeling very poorly - bloat/gastro issues, brain FOG, sleeping problems and a ghastly skin rash. have gained tons of weight since having my last child and feel like a lumbering oaf. feeling a lot better, taking supplements and sticking to the program - i wonder if its just some sort of placebo effect (that i'm feeling sooo much better so soon....) I want to feel better - that is my motivation! my skin rash is somewhat better - i am hopeful. i don't own a scale so i'm not sure how much i've actually lost so far... i tripped over this site a few days ago and was very intrigued..so here we are - happy new year to all!

Hi there Susie That's no placebo effect thats LC you're experiencing. You'll find there are members here who LC just cause of how good it makes them feel. I've personally improved my blood pressure and thyroid function, totally reversed my insomnia, headaches, chronic backaches and PMS. The fat loss has been great, but when it's over n done with I'll still be watching carbs - I feel too good not to.

Cheers,
Nat

Yes, it's really true. Most people who go on LC begin to feel better in ways they didn't expect. Feel free to read in people's journals & start your own. See what has improved: cholesterol, indigestion, gastric reflux, menstrual cycles, PMS, blood pressure, triglycerides, bowel irritation, allergies & so much more.

How wonderful that you have started feeling the benefits so soon.

hi y'all - thanks much for coming back to me! heartwarming to see that you had responded. i guess one of the funny things i am experiencing is that i have this need to talk about what i am doing, supplemments; how i am feeling...blah blah blah ...all the time. as i sit here grinning, i'm aware that my husband must be growing weary of my constant yeast/flax/protein/die-off talk. he's been great, really. i've cheated slightly - coupla triscuits, beef stew (homemade of course!) with just a few new potatoes in my bowl...actually we've been eating quite nicely while staying inside the diets boundaries. not so bad.

another thing, and i ramble here - hey, i'm a Canadian as well - born montreal. kinda cool. anyhow, i've got to fly (kids!) oh, how cool is this...its 70 degrees here today (i've been working in the garden)? we've lived here in tx for two years now, but the novelty of the weather has yet to sink in. oh - if anyone has any input as to supplements i'd love to hear what your thoughts and/or recommendations are. happy trails, susie
