Question Has anyone tried Cayenne Capsules?

I have been taking cayenne capsules for several months now for arthritis...have recent rumors that it may speed up metabolism....has anyone done any research on this????

micsing, there was a thread on this about a year ago, I am sure that if you try a search for "cayenne" you'll pull it up. You can also check out all kinds of supplements with the link in the thread stuck at the top of this forum called "Supplement Resources" I am 99% sure that Supplementwatch.com and Wholehealthmd.com have reviews of this particular supplement.

Thanks for the quick response....tried searching, but no luck yet.....but I'll keep on looking!

When searching it helps if you narrow down the forum you want and if you choose "display as posts" instead of 'threads' where it is defaulted.

Hey there, I've tried Guatemalan Insanity Peppers and those things work real well. LOL, if you can't tell I'm just kidding. Anyways it seems like cayenne is more of a novelty product. In essence no one really knows how effective it is. Try it if you'd like and not any effects. If it seems expensive, then I'd stick with good old ECA. If you have problems tolerating ECA and are taking it at already low dosages, then thermogenics as a whole should not be considered. Either that or put them on the back burner and use when needed because losing weight tends to lower blood pressure and all the other nasty stuff. Which should increase your tolerance.

I take cayenne occasionally for pain relief, and also to settle a queasy stomach (go figure!) I haven't noticed any metabolism benefits. (BTW ginger capsules work very well on nausea too. I take 'em instead of Dramamine when I fly)
